| August 11 & 12, 2007 'PEG CITY Disc Dogz held their 1st annual disc trial. The trial started on August 11 with a seminar provided by CDDA's Howard Kadish. There was positive feedback on the seminar especially from new teams to the sport of canine disc. The afternoon trial was a challenge for all dog and handler teams as they had to battle mother nature with winds gusting from 30 to 50 km/hr. There was only one Qualifing score for that day. August 12 brought better weather with very little wind making for an exciting day of disc. There were many Qualifying scores handed out to the teams on this day. Top Dog Award went to Mark and Abby for an outstanding performance in Novice Single Disc with a score of 64 points. The trial was a success and everyone had a great time. Thank you to all our family and friends who had helped in making this a successful trial. Thank you to all participants from near and far. We appreciate you coming out and look forward to seeing you all for next year's trial!! |
| August 8, 2007 On August 1, 'PEG CITY Disc Dogz held a practice in preparation for the August 11 & 12 trials. The practice was held at the Kilcona Off-Leash Dog Park on Lagimodiere Boulevard. During the practice Shaw Cable was there to tape some of the dogs and conduct an interview with 'PCDD and some of the handlers. The taping was aired on Shaw August 8 for the public viewing. The presentation by Shaw was informative and promoted the sport of canine disc. |
| July 6, 2007 'PEG CITY Disc Dogz had a visit from Jimmy Mac of CityTv's Breakfast Television. The live broadcast was to introduce 'PCDD and the sport of canine disc to the public. Michelle (with Reba and Pebbles) along with Tobie (with Benny) showed Jimmy Mac what canine disc is all about. By the end of the airing, Jimmy Mac was panting and looking for his own bowl of water. |

A special thank you to all who help with organizing the trial and for those that were able to attend. It was another succeful trial weekend and fun was had by all participants. We look forward to another trial in 2009. |

| August 20, 2009 Peg City Disc Dogz held their 3rd annual disc dog trial weekend on August 15 & 16. Three trials were held again on this weekend. A special thank you to all who help during the trial weekend, and to all those who attended even despite the constant wind and rain. It was another succesful trial weekend, although the conditions were poor everyone had a good time. We look forward to our next trial in 2010. |

| June 19, 2010 'Peg City Disc Dogz held a seminar at the Crocus Obedience and Kennel Club in Brandon, MB as the request of one of our very own disc dog handler's. The seminar was a great experience for everyone. There were dogs who were already familiar with the sport and there were some dog/handler teams that had never touched a frisbee. By the end of the seminar there was improvement in all dog/handler teams. Thank you Jim for the opportunity to help in bringing awareness of the sport to Brandon. |
| August 15, 2010 'PEG CITY Disc Dogz held their 4th annual disc dog trial weekend on August 14 and 15. Three trials were held again on this weekend. We are happy to say this was the largest trial to date with 49 dogs entered. It was great seeing the returning dog/handler teams in addition to the 19 new teams. 'PEG CITY Disc Dogz has now gone south of the border with Josie and her two Australian Cattle Dogs (Roo and Dusty) visiting from St. Cloud, Minnesota to take part in our event. Like 2009, we once again did not have the best weather, more rain and wind than we would prefer. Thank you to everyone who came out and all those that had helped in making this trial weekend a successful one. |
